Assistance with Supported Independent Living

Ongoing, personalised support to live as independently as possible in your home.

Dolare Care provides Supported Independent Living for participants who need help with daily tasks at all times of the day, or for most of the day. We manage and deliver your home and living supports in line with your NDIS plan, helping you build everyday skills while living safely, comfortably and as autonomously as possible.

How We Can Support You

Personal care and daily living assistance, day or night as needed
Meal preparation, cooking skills and meal planning
Cleaning, laundry and household routines
Medication support and health routines
Personal organisation, budgeting and building life skills for independence
Community participation and coordinating with your support team

This service is suitable for NDIS participants who need ongoing support with daily living, at all times or for most of the day, in their own home.

Who Is This SIL For?

Supported Independent Living may suit NDIS participants who:
• Require significant assistance with daily activities
• Need support throughout most or all of the day
• Require overnight support where funded
• Want to develop greater independence at home
• Benefit from consistent routines and regular assistance
• Live in, or are considering, a shared-living arrangement
• Require help maintaining their safety and wellbeing at home
SIL must be included in the participant’s approved NDIS plan. Dolare Care will review the
participant’s support needs and funding before confirming whether the service can be provided.

Important Information

SIL funds the support a participant receives at home.

It does not generally pay for rent, groceries, utilities or other ordinary living expenses.

Dolare Care does not need to own the participant’s home to provide SIL support. Service availability will depend on the participant’s approved funding, location, support requirements and the availability of suitably matched staff.

Dolare Care provides SIL support services and does not currently advertise SIL accommodation or property vacancies.
